Archaeological areas are  one of the most powerful tourist attractions in most tourist countries, and what tourist countries possess is a special national wealth, and thus provides many development opportunities in those societies through investing in the field of historical tourism, and raising the level of economic return whose impact is reflected in all areas of development  in those countries.

Antiquities are the remnants of previous civilizations left by nations that have passed through ancient times.  The images of these antiquities range from palaces, remains of temples or houses, pottery vessels, coins, statues, cultural heritage, and other historical and civilized images of nations that founded ancient civilizations in diverse countries such as Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Jordan and other Arab countries.  Which possesses cultural value elements of investment in the field of tourism.

Tourism has emerged in general as one of the most important components of the economic sector in the tourist communities, and thus archaeological areas constitute a rich source for improving the economic level.

The return on foreign currency from the tourism field will support the development process in tourist countries, and this requires greater attention to archaeological areas, and work at all levels to pay attention to ancient historical monuments wherever they are found, and coordinate with various authorities to develop the tourism sector in archaeological areas, by developing various strategies and plans to preserve  antiquities in all its forms, while providing qualified technical human resources to deal with various artifacts, and working to provide a diverse and clear transportation network to transport the tourism product, while raising the level of security and protection for tourist groups, supporting the process of partnership with the private sector and encouraging it to invest in the field of tourism, and spreading  the culture of preserving archaeological properties because it is the identity of the country that must be cherished and taken care of all its details.

The field of tourism for archaeological areas must also enhance the concept of sustainable development in those areas on the basis that they are a national wealth left by previous generations to current generations and preserved for future generations.

The tourism field of these areas requires the tourism promotion process in a variety of attractive ways, whether inside or outside the country. It invests a lot of human cadres, which alleviates the emergence of many social problems such as unemployment.

Many Arab countries possess an invaluable historical heritage, and at the same time, these countries have been facing conflicts and disputes for years, and this requires a redoubled effort to spread the culture of preserving historical and cultural heritage without succumbing to temptations that have no value in exchange for a national identity that cannot compensate  over time.
