Yemen Information Center Signs Cooperation and Partnership Agreement with University of Science and Technology – Main Campus Aden

On November 19, 2024, Yemen Information Center for Research and Media (YIC) in Aden signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the University of Science and Technology – Main Campus Aden, aimed at enhancing joint efforts in training and research across various societal, scientific, and developmental issues, leveraging the center's diverse resources.

 

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Center by Dr. Shimaa Hwaider, the director of the center in Aden, and on behalf of the university by Dr. Abdulghani Ahmed Hamid. It outlined the ways to enhance cooperation in exchanging experiences and scientific research information on significant societal issues, as well as the implementation of training programs and activities across various specializations and fields that serve scientific endeavors. Additionally, it included joint coordination for organizing scientific conferences and seminars.

 

Following the signing, Dr. Hwaider emphasized the importance of renewing this collaborative effort with the University of Science and Technology in Aden across all developmental areas and diverse training programs, which contribute to the enhancement of both parties' objectives and their mission in serving youth and society at large. She underscored the commitment to promoting community awareness and education in various fields, as well as the pursuit of building a comprehensive database on various societal and developmental issues. She expressed her pride in renewing this partnership with the university, which is regarded as one of the leading private universities in Yemen.

 

In turn, Dr. Abdulghani commended the efforts made by Yemen Information Center to support the fields of studies, research, and media that spotlight various societal issues. He affirmed that this joint agreement with the Center will facilitate the exchange of expertise and research information related to economic, social, and humanitarian aspects, as well as other areas of significance to society. He also highlighted that it would enhance the dissemination of principles of tolerance and community coexistence across various Yemeni governorates.
